Ron Brown Scholarship for Black/African American

Applications are now being accepted for the Ron Brown Scholarship Program from all the eligible applicants in U.S. The motto of this program is to improve the lifestyle of African American community by providing them best higher education especially disadvantaged youth.

Ron Brown Program offers many career opportunity through its scholarships program. Through this scholarship, Ron Scholars will accredit four-year college or university of their choice within the United States.

RBSP Scholarship Award:

Ron Brown Scholar offers an award of up to $40,000 ($10,000 each year) for consecutive four years to those who are intelligent and keen interested in public services, global citizenship and business entrepreneurship.

Eligibility Criteria for Ron Brown Scholars Program:

  • You must be Black/African American
  • You must posses leadership quality
  • You must have potential to participate in community service activities.
  • You must be holding permanent resident visa card of U.S or U.S Citizen
  • You should be current high school senior at the time of your application
  • You must hold the strong academic record.

Important Note: If you receive any other scholarships or financial aid even then you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  • College Application Advice & Strategies: Students can access information about ACT prep and SAT, AP and IB exams, college application advice and interventions, mock interviews, essay-writing and other resources for making their best career choice.
  • Professional Development: All students are invited to participate in college webinars, hands-on monthly webinars that guide students through every step of the college application and financial aid process.
  • Frequent Financial Aid and Scholarship Reminders: Students are notified about financial aid, college prep programs and scholarships.
  • Exclusive Access to the GPS Workplace by Facebook Community: students who have access to Guided Pathway Support (GPS) may receive any information like financial, can connect with current students and alumni.
  • Peer-to-Peer Mentoring and Leadership Development

How to apply for Ron Brown Scholarship for Black/African American?

  • You have to visit the official website of Ron Brown Scholarship and read all the instruction to apply for the scholarship program.
  • You have to print application form available on website download it and fill it, do scan it and send it back through the mail.
  • There are some parts to be filled by your parent/guardian, and high school guidance counsellor to complete.

Required Documents for Ron Brown Scholarship:

  • Two letters of recommendation: One of the letters of recommendation must be written by high school guidance counsellor, teacher or principal. Another can be written by anyone who knows you well.
  • Two essays of 500 words are required to be submitted on one topic of your choice and another given by college
